Follow-up Visits / Suture Removal
Sutures will be removed 7 days post-procedure.
Makeup
Makeup application is permissible from the day following suture removal, excluding the wound area.
Bathing and Facial Cleansing
Showering and facial cleansing are permitted from the day of the procedure, provided care is taken to avoid wetting the wound. From the following day, the wound area may also be gently cleansed. Full bathing is permissible from the day after suture removal.
Potential Risks and Side Effects
Post-operative swelling, pain, bruising, asymmetry in eye opening or double eyelid width, scarring, loss of double eyelid, cyst formation, accumulation of eye discharge, and potential regression of results.
Downtime
During the initial 2-3 days post-procedure, it is common to experience significant swelling, puffiness, and a sensation of discomfort. Pronounced swelling typically resolves within 1-2 weeks. Scarring generally becomes inconspicuous within 3-6 months.
Aftercare Instructions
On the morning following your procedure, an increased amount of eye discharge is common. We recommend moistening the discharge with prescribed eye drops, allowing a brief period, and then gently wiping it away with a clean gauze pad.
Contraindications
Individuals currently taking anticoagulant medications (blood thinners, specific types may vary), those with severe diabetes, or individuals with a history of keloid formation.
