Risks/Side Effects

Post-procedure swelling, pain, bruising, asymmetry, recurrence, cyst formation, foreign body sensation, thread exposure, dry eye symptoms, blepharospasm, gritty sensation, among others.

Downtime

On the day of the procedure, it is highly likely that you will experience significant swelling, puffiness, and discomfort. Puffiness may persist for 2-3 days post-procedure, but will largely subside within approximately 7 days.

Aftercare

On the morning following the procedure, you may experience significant eye discharge. Please moisten the discharge with eye drops, allow some time, and then gently wipe it away with a clean gauze.

Contraindications

Patients currently on anticoagulant medication (blood thinners, depending on type), individuals with severe diabetes, or those with a keloidal predisposition.
