We incise along your desired double eyelid line (removing excess skin if necessary) and internally suture the tissues to create a permanent double eyelid.

About the Procedure

Fat may be removed simultaneously, and fibrous tissues such as ligaments and septa may be excised to enhance eye openness. We also perform corrections for conditions such as puffy eyelids, sleepy eyes, or triple eyelids.

Treatment Details

Treatment Duration

Approximately 1 hour

Clinic Visits / Suture Removal

Suture removal will be performed 7 days post-procedure.

Makeup Application

Makeup application is permissible from the day following suture removal, avoiding the wound site.

Bathing / Face Washing

Showering and face washing are permitted starting on the day of the procedure, with careful attention to avoid wetting the wound. (From the day after, the wound area may also be gently cleansed.) Full bathing is permissible from the day following suture removal.

Risks / Side Effects

Post-operative swelling, pain, bruising, asymmetry in eye opening or double eyelid width, scarring, loss of double eyelid, cyst formation, dry eye symptoms, changes in vision, blepharospasm.

Downtime

For the first 2-3 days post-procedure, it is highly probable to experience significant swelling, puffiness, and discomfort. Major swelling typically subsides within approximately 1-2 weeks.

Aftercare

The morning after the procedure, you may experience a significant amount of eye discharge. Please moisten the discharge with eye drops, allow some time, and then gently wipe it away with a clean gauze.

Contraindications

Individuals currently taking anticoagulant medications (blood thinners, depending on the type), those with severe diabetes, or individuals with a predisposition to keloid scarring.
