By inserting a silicone prosthesis, we can enhance the height of your nose or refine its bridge. As the prosthesis does not adhere to surrounding tissues, it can be easily replaced or removed if desired.

About the Procedure

We offer both the CLOSED method, which leaves no visible external scars, and the OPEN method, which allows for precise and comprehensive reshaping. A protective splint will be applied for approximately 3 to 7 days post-procedure.

Procedure Details

Procedure Duration

45 minutes

Follow-up Visits / Suture Removal

For the OPEN technique, sutures are removed after 7 days. In certain cases, a follow-up visit is required after 3 days for dressing removal.

Makeup

Makeup is permissible from the day after suture removal, avoiding the wound site.

Bathing / Face Washing

Showers and face washing are permitted from the day of the procedure, with careful attention to keep the wound and fixation dry. From the following day, the wound area may also be gently washed; however, the fixation must remain dry until further instructions are provided. Full bathing is allowed from the day after suture removal.

Risks / Side Effects

Post-operative swelling, pain, bruising, infection, implant exposure, implant bending, implant protrusion, implant movement, discomfort, upward or downward nasal rotation, calcification, allergic or foreign body reactions, implant visibility on imaging tests (e.g., X-rays), nasal congestion, and internal nasal scarring.

Downtime

During the initial 2-3 days post-procedure, it is common to experience notable swelling, edema, and discomfort. Significant swelling generally resolves within approximately 1-2 weeks.

Aftercare

Nasal bleeding may occur on the morning after the procedure. Please gently blot it with a clean gauze. It is crucial not to remove the fixation.

Contraindications / Individuals Not Eligible for Treatment

Patients currently on anticoagulant medication (blood thinners, depending on the specific type), individuals with severe diabetes, or those with a keloid predisposition.
